Choice and Consequence...

Everyone is free to make the choices they want or feel right, and we all do make choices, from the clothes to wear, to the watch or the car we drive or the food we eat all these things are just examples of the choices we make in our day to day lives. Of course not everyone has the luxury to choose which car to drive on Mondays yet everyone has a lot of choices in general that he/she struggles with.
But is it true that having a lot of choices would make a person happy?
In my observation this is as far from the truth as it gets. The more choices a person has the more tangled up and stressed his life may become, because all these choices would create a push and pull force making the person’s life more stressful than ever.
As I have said earlier that everyone is free to make the choices he/she wants to make, but that doesn’t mean that the person is free from the consequences. The things which come after the choice has been made are inevitable and cannot be evaded. And that is why we should keep a check on our choices and keep our minds disciplined, and to not let it wander of easily.
Because only when we are disciplined then we are free to make choices of our own and once the discipline is removed we are no longer free cause now we are slaves to our cravings and etc. though this state gives you a delusion of freedom but what it takes is the actual control of your life and makes you fall into a mental trap.
“It may be objected why what is more agreeable than this which I am doing? - But is not this the very reason why pleasure deceives us? For what is more agreeable than wisdom itself.”
